Kogarah's mix of units and houses means everything from compact unit boards to full house switchboards with room for solar and EV charging.
Switchboard Upgrade Kogarah: what we typically find
Older Kogarah units and houses often have fuse boards without safety switches. Upgrading adds protection and room for new circuits.
We test, replace and label everything.
How the job works in Kogarah
Most upgrades take a day, with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work.
Landlords receive documentation for their records.
On the day, we turn off the power, replace the board, reconnect and test every circuit, label everything and restore power. You'll receive a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work for your records.
For rentals, we can arrange access with the managing agent and provide documentation for the landlord.
Signs your board needs attention include ceramic fuses, frequent tripping, a warm or crackling board, or no safety switches.
In older Kogarah apartment blocks, unit boards are often in the entry hall or a kitchen cupboard, with the meters in a common room. Replacing the unit board is usually work within your lot, but we'll confirm whether any work is needed in the meter room and coordinate access with the strata manager.
If you're planning to add air conditioning or an induction cooktop, tell us beforehand so the new board can accommodate those circuits.
